I started working for Miss Shirley in 2007 while I was in cosmetology school. She came to the tech center to teach a class on natural hair care, and after that I gave her a call. She opened her shop to me to help me get my hours so I could take the state board. I started off cleaning the shop from top to bottom, and now i am a professional hairstylist. She encouraged me to advance my knowledge in natural hair and get my hair braider license. At first I was hesistant, but now I'm glad I did it. She also helped me get my certification in sisterlocks. Now I am relocating fully equipped and prepared to be a success. I am truly blessed to have Miss Shirley in my Life. If it wasn't for her I probably would be where I am today!
